Position: HVAC Technician

Job Description:

As a Prime Comfort HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and occasionally installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment. We are looking for individuals who are adept at identifying maintenance risks, diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, diagnose, adjust, and repair HVAC systems and accessories.
  
• Identify and assess maintenance risks on equipment.
  
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
  
• Perform cleaning, adjustment, and repair tasks, including warranty services.
  
• Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency repair requests.
  
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training when needed.
  
• Maintain daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  
• Adhere to service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
  
• Assist customers with questions and provide guidance on the best equipment to meet their needs.
  
• Properly document all work performed, findings, and recommendations in invoices submitted to customers.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
  
• 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, with a willingness to continue education in the HVAC field.
  
• Valid driver’s license.
  
• EPA card.
  
• Understanding of principles of heat transfer and airflow.
  
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
  
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with little or no notice.
  
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and to work in confined spaces.
